We are the last of the true Canadians

Yes my fellow seniors, you and I are the last of the true patriots, those who pledged allegiance to the flag and to the greatest country in the World..... Canada

We said the "Lords Prayer" before starting class. Loyalty and honour were upper most in our beliefs. We were intolerant of those who came to Canada and failed to assimilate yet over time the new immigrants embraced Canada with the same vigor as the founding English and French pioneers.

Canada is no longer the home of compassion and reason, we have allowed the newest wave of immigrants to change the country and dictate how we perceive "OUR" Country. Children no longer pledge allegiance to the flag or to the country. God is no longer in the classroom out of fear of offending newcomers to Canada.

Canada is a Christian Country founded on Christian values, as a new immigrant to Canada you have a right to your religious beliefs but you do "NOT" have the right to impose them upon us.

I, for one, question why you as a new Canadian who is financed by my tax dollar want to change "My Country" and why the Harper government is allowing you to do so simply to get your vote or to fill a corporate need for his financiers.

Where do your loyalties truly lie?

  1. A majority of Canadians opposed Harper's war on Afghanistan.
They were expressing traditional Canadian values whether Christian or not.
    He proceeded against their will.
It is neither Christian nor Canadian to have ordered Canadian forces to bomb civilians in Libya although it is patently obvious how it connects to the interests of empire.
Our values include civility and support for the rule of law, neither is this governments strong suit.
    E.
