"FINALLY" Election reform legislation is coming .... but will it be enough

Unfortunately I don't have much faith in the new legislation even without knowing what is contained within. Why? Because the Conservatives did what they usually do.... they totally ignored anyone who had electoral experience.... "Chief Electoral Officer Marc Mayrand" ....

But it's not clear how far the reforms will go, with federal Chief Electoral Officer Marc Mayrand last month telling reporters that he hadn't been consulted on the bill.

I should take a wait and see attitude regarding the "reform" however they sat on the bill longer than they should have. If they took as much interest in studying this new reform as they did in their "Temporary Immigration" Bill and EI reform then it will be yet another joke on Canadian integrity.

An electoral bill affects all parties and should be studied, reviewed and implemented by "all parties" but hell no, not with these guys. It is their way or nothing.

Electoral fraud is systemic in this country ......

Elections Canada has since expanded its investigation to cover harassing calls and live calls, and is looking at complaints in 234 ridings. A related case saw a group of voters challenge six MPs in Federal Court, alleging they had benefited from vote suppression tactics and should lose their seats. A decision has not yet been released in the case.
