Is Quebec sovereignty a part of Stephen Harper’s strategy for an independent Alberta?

Isn’t it ironic that Pierre Karl Peladeau, a Conservative media baron, would announce his running for the Parti Quebecois in their bid for a majority in the Province of Quebec after the Harper government has spent the past 8 years ignoring the opposition parties and refusing to meet with and work with the Premiers of the various provinces?

Harper’s own former mouth piece and strategist Kory Teneycke is a top player in Peladeau’s conservative media network, Sun TV. For the past several years they, Sun TV, have attempted to destroy the opposition parties as well as the CBC all with Stephen Harper’s assistance.

We have seen a systematic attack on the provinces by the Harper Government to reduce transfer payments, disassemble Federal health care and welfare as well as educational programs.

It makes this writer wonder why and to what end?

After 8 years of refusing to work with the Province of Quebec Stephen Harper has the gall to turn to the opposition parties for advice on how to handle the April 7th 2014 election in Quebec…. Too little, too late.

To add insult to injury Peladeau announces that he is fed up with being a part of Canada. Needless to say that that remark will only fuel the embers of independence in Alberta and anger the rest of Canada. The sad part is that it is his intent to raise the ire of Canadians in order to get action from the Federal Government.

If Stephen Harper and his ship of fools had not spent the past 8 years dismantling Canada to please the one percenters we would not be having this conversation. Of course if the Harper Government is serious about keeping Quebec within Confederation there is always the Sponsorship Program.
