Job posting for Senate financial clerk comes with a warning about ‘unpleasant interactions’

OTTAWA — The Senate is searching for a new employee to join its team overseeing the expense claims of senators, but warning prospective applicants the job may entail mental stress caused by “unpleasant interactions” with clients, also known as senators.

In its online job posting for the position of “financial clerk,” the upper chamber notes that the role includes ”the potential for conflicts, differences of opinion and disagreements with clients is very high.”
