The Greenfield Park Historical Society has produced a commemorative DVD of the 2011 Centennial celebrations which would make a great souvenir Christmas gift for family and friends.

This 1 hr 58 min. DVD contains:

Never seen Ken (Bud) Nathan original movie clips from the 1930s, 1940s, and 1950s.

Film and photos of earlier Greenfield Park anniversaries including the 50th and 75th held in 1961 and 1986

Film and photos of civic improvements between 1961 and 2011

Coverage of last year's 100th Centennial which includes:

1) the original planning meetings

2) homage of former mayors and aldermen

3) Centennial school projects

4) the press conference

5) the Canada Day parade

6) the vintage car display put on by the Bearing Burners

7) the sports memorabilia and recognition night

8) the exhibition touch football and softball games

9) the Greenfield Park photo and memorabilia display at our library

10) displays by local artists, singing and dancing groups

11) the play about Greenfield Park put on by the Park Players

12) a large variety of various music shows in the park

13) GPK artists like John Zatylny and Adam Karch

14) the Centennial golf tournament

15) the Ecumenical Service at the United Church

16) the historical bus tours

17) the chess challenge, bingo and lunch in the Legion
