Tesla and Elon Musk are introducing solar rooftops for a paradigm shift in the industry
"It's a solar roof, as opposed to modules on a roof," says Musk, as he reveals his strategy to enhance homes around the world. "I think this is really a fundamental part of achieving differentiated product strategy, where you have a beautiful roof. It's not a thing on the roof. It is the roof."
The new technology gives Musk the opportunity to corner a new market of solar paneling - those houses that need new roofs.
