Between a rock and pipeline: Feds distance themselves from Gateway
"Only two years ago, Prime Minister Stephen Harper described the Northern Gateway pipeline project as in Canada's "vital interest." His environment minister called opponents "radicals."
But on the day that his government gave its sanction to the project — as long as Enbridge Inc. meets 209 conditions — nary a Conservative minister or MP was there to announce it.
The news came, instead, via a colourless release... with the bureaucratic title "Government of Canada Accepts Recommendation to Impose 209 Conditions on Northern Gateway Proposal." The usual prefix, "Harper Government," was absent."

He and his morons are fully aware that the First nations and the residents of BC are dead set against his destroying the coast of British Columbia and that court challenges' to his lying to and manipulating environmental standards will delay the project for years, if not force it to be cancelled.
Add to this announcement the delay in ordering the junk ship F-35 until 2018 and we are beginning to see a pattern.
Stephen Harper witnessed how the people of Ontario pushed back against the ill conceived plans of his meme Tim Hudak and is beginning to see the wrath of his failed policies.
Contrary to what some in the media have been saying about Wynne's victory and how Harper will further punish the voters in Ontario I believe he will try to buy his way back into favour...... but it is way to late..... nobody will ever trust him or the Reform-a-Cons again
