This XL meat fiasco is getting ridiculous, who are the Conservatives protecting here? It sure isn't the consumer, the only conclusion one can come to is they are protecting themselves .... Canadians be damned.
Was it not John Baird who sat in committee and bullied Siobhon Coady and insisted that Ministers were responsible for their departments and not their staff.... well we all know that is a lie not one has been held accountable for their incompetence and only one got fed up and resigned.
Even Jim Mr. Competent" Prentice spoke out on the parties failures with regard to the Northern Gateway project and their failure to engage aboriginals.
Everything is a secret, they refuse to inform the public, and smugly insult rather than engage in civil dialogue with the opposition or anyone for that matter.
The Minister of Agriculture, Gerry Ritz, had the nerve to say "we had a great steak dinner today, and I don't care where it came from" as a four year old girl suffered kidney failure as a result of tainted meat ... Ritz is "crackers".
Mike Lees' five-year-old son, Elijah, had to be hospitalized after eating tainted steak. His mother, Pat, is still in and out of the hospital and family friend Matthew Harrison has launched a class-action lawsuit against XL Foods.

During the listeria crisis as people were dieing the dis-Honorable Minister quipped .... "death by cold cuts" and he is still there jeopardizing lives. Thanks for failing Canadians Stephen Harper.
