Amidst signs that President Donald Trump is willing to cave on the centerpiece of his presidential campaign and postpone demands for border wall funding to avoid a government shutdown, he set Tuesday’s agenda by attempting to verbally muscle America’s other neighbor. Trump traded in his drugs and gangs rhetoric for a new boogeyman: the Canadian dairy farmer. Ironically, he’s accusing Canada of the same protectionism that he’s long espoused for the United States.
