What will happen
when the honeymoon is over and the government falters? And it will, no party,
no Prime Minister, no man is perfect although I am finding that many supports
of Justin Trudeau feel he is.
I have heard
and read complaints that there are media people who do not show our Prime
minister the respect he deserves; while I don’t disagree I must say that it is
Justin Trudeau and not the media who set the standard of how we should look at
him.
Since a
child Justin Trudeau wanted to be “of the people” growing up, in university and
in his teaching career. As a politician he identified with the common man, he
stripped off his shirt and danced at a fund raiser for women, he donned boxing
gloves, shorts and entered the boxing ring to duke it out with Senator Brazeau
all in the name of charity. Those are the actions of the common man.
Heck, he
even admitted having a toke.
Again, as a Politician
Justin set the standard as to how we should view him. He sat in town hall
meetings, shook hands and mingled with the crowd. He continues, as Prime
Minister, to sit with university students and answer their question, join in
debate, mingle and shake hands.
Yes he is
the Prime Minister and yes he should be respected as such but in my opinion he
wants and enjoys being a Prime Minister of the people, for the people and is
comfortable being an equal to the people.
