Tories playing to anxiety over the unknown, Sept. 21
In my case, Tim Harper has it wrong. Stephen Harper’s ploy of seeding the electorate’s mind with anxiety about the unknowns in world or economic affairs doesn’t really get to me. No, instead for me it is not anxiety over the unknowns, but rather, anxiety over the knowns that persists.
It is anxiety over the possible return to the demonstrated lies, abuses, lack of transparency, and attacks on our democracy that the Harper government has given us over the past decade that keeps me awake, and I know that I am not alone in this.
