On PnP's Power Panel today, Marie Vastel unwrapped the Syrian Refugees "veneered" announcement with clarity! The 10,000 is NOT a new quota, it is NOT in addition to, it is THE grand total now standing at 10,000!
Here is the math - old promise of 1,300 (2013) minus new total 10,000 (2015) = 8,700 new refugees promised in 3 years = on average 2,900 per year. 2013-14, Canada admitted 1,100 Syrian refugees, you think they can jump to 2,900 this year? PLUS, 60% will have to rely on private sponsorship! It is a re-gift/re-wrap LIE!
