That's an interesting exercise to undertake and it clearly proves the point that we pay more for gas at the pump. What the formula does not calculate is what services we are purchasing with the different tax assessments made in different jurisdictions so it ends up being one of those apples versus oranges comparisons. Someone paying less for gas in Detroit is paying more for their colonoscopies than we do here in Toronto. I guess one man's pain in the ass is another's blessing. EB
