Unemployment remains stagnant but Jason Kenney is pandering to immigrants

"So, let me get this straight. Jason Kenney says there is a chronic shortage of skilled labour in Canada, for those big oil development projects, so he is sweetening the deal for skilled labour immigrants.

Now, the CPC has been in power for 7 years now, plenty of time to graduate a shitload of skilled labour from colleges and trades programs. Is this government oversight? I mean, was there plenty of skilled labour in 2006, 07, 08 etc.? Nope. What there was then - as there is now - is a lack of an affordable domestic skilled trades programs for kids and adults to re-purpose themselves in a changing global environment. ...

Meanwhile we have 7.2% unemployment, chronic among youth which is double the national rate, and what is the government doing about it? This is what they are doing about it:

I am calling bullshit."

Makes one wonder if part of the program hinges on the new immigrant becoming a card carrying CPC member???
