Two Americans vacationing in Spain went to the bullfights and, after watching the matadors and torreadors and picadors perform, went to eat in a restaurant near the plaza de toros. The house specialty was what we call mountain oysters, aka calf-fries. The restaurant owner said that, being located next to the bullfight arena gave them a dependable supply of bull testicles to cook.
The men really enjoyed the food, so they returned frequently to the same restaurant and always ordered the same.
One day the owner stopped by their table to ask how was the food and service.
"The service is good as always," one man said, "and the food is good too, but we noticed that the size of the mountain oysters are much smaller than usual."
The owner said, "Yes, that happens sometimes. Today the bull won the fight."
Thanks Heidi
