Banned TED Talk: Nick Hanauer "Rich people don't create jobs"

Thanks Andre.... there is no denying that the middle class far out numbers the wealthy and that they are the economic engine within any country, including Canada. The Conservatives have missed that point entirely. Why? Because their attention and pandering to the wealthy and to industry means campaign contributions.

If a government were to balance the taxing of industry with the lowering of taxes to the middle class industry would be better off. The middle class, as stated in this video, buys more than the wealthy based on the fact they far outnumber the wealthy. Furthermore, there is a trickle down effect when one taxes the wealthy and industry. Industry does not pay tax, the consumer does, taxes are a part of overhead and is worked into the selling price.

Industry and the wealthy have far more perks than the middle class when it comes to tax deductions such as corporate meetings in Aruba or golf with clients, corporate tournaments outside the country are also a benefit, the list goes on and on. In the final analysis it is the middle class that pays for these perks.
