Beautiful Horses

Noble, beautiful animals!
The note below was written by a Dutch person who has had personal experience with these horses.
"I was born in the town of Sneek in the province of Friesland (the Netherlands). As a child I often stayed at my uncle’s farm. He had 2 Friesian horses. In the second world war the German soldiers came and took the horses. My uncle cried because these horses were needed to run the farm. I’ll never forget the day, when after the war ended the horses came back. They were skin over bones. They came back because they survived which was unusual (most of them were eaten). They came back because they had a tattoo in their mouths and could be traced back to their owner. It did not take very long for them to gain back their weight and I have a picture of me sitting on one of them."
Their manes and tails are the longest that (I) have seen, and (I) noticed that when performing on grass, their hoofs do not kick up a divot (they land flat footed). This is truly a special video about a very special breed of animal. Enjoy! Beautiful creatures such as these are what makes this world so special.
These horses are native to the Netherlands. Click below:
