Due to the pain in my legs I didn't walk the grounds but rather stood in the front garden and watched all the visitors. What amazed (nice way to say aggravated) me the most was how all the young people would grab the benches while the seniors were left to stand and either lean on a tree, a wall or their cane.
As I walked the garden I noticed a gentleman, some years my senior, sitting alone so I invited myself to join him. As we sat talking he remarked about my Canada hoodie and asked if I was part of the Olympic group from Canada because of the Olympic logo on the arm. I was tempted to tell him I was a poll vaulter but thought better of it..... I look more like the whale at Sea World.
The home was lovely and comfortable, not overly large in its number of rooms although the rooms were large and had a homey feel to them. The grounds were very impressive
Photos inside were not permitted
