Political Bottom Feeders and the Media Snakes

This article smacks of the Conservative Propaganda machine in full swing.

Mulcair remortgages home x number of times

It is NOT your business or mine what Mulcair has done to achieve the level within the NDP that he has. I am not a supporter of his nor, will I vote for the NDP at any time in my life however, this whole story smacks of the Harper propaganda team in action.

It is an expensive proposition to get where Mulcair is today and I must say I admire his commitment to Canada but, more than that, I admire the support that his wife has given him. Can you imagine how upset and angry your wife would be if you continually remortgaged your home to pursue a career in an intangible like politics...... good on her.

This whole story sounds like the criminal activity by the media that is under investigation in Great Britain right now. Hate mongering at its best

Hmmm is there collusion within the media and the Conservatives????? Duhhhh

  1. "is there collusion within the media and the Conservatives"

If I recall correctly forty-three of forty-four national news outlets editorially endorsed the Conservatives during the last election.

Collusion of that kind is understood to be a publisher's right.

In the final analysis though it proves that they speak at us not for us.

  2. Thank you anonymous..... I agree it is a publishers right to endorse a specific party, for the same reason as I write my rants on the blog. Nobody else will speak for me, plus I do it for my own pleasure, if someone happens to read it great. If they disagree, that's OK too. However, there is no justification for a reporter OR a publisher to seek out private financial undertakings such as the Mulcair story... that is a far cry from an endorsement.

If his activities were onerous then yes..... investigate it, write it and print it.

    1. We have imported the ethics and tactics of election campaigning from our southern neighbours.

It will not serve our democracy any better than it has served theirs.

How much money must the governing party be spending on PI's to be able to come up with information like the opposition leader's banking history.

  3. Thanks anonymous.... the tactics do make one feel like taking a shower. The PMO has a team of willing lambs whose methods could be considered unscrupulous. There is also close ties to the banking industry where one would be able to obtain such information ..... and then there is Tony Clement President of the Treasury Board ..... who needs to pay PI's
