Eastbourne Sussex England - day one 18/4/2012

For those who don't know where Eastbourne is situated it is on the English Channel between Brighton and Bexhill about an hour south of London by train.

Getting there is easy. If you fly in to Gatwick Airport there is a train stop in the terminal that will take you right into the core of the city. If you arrive via the chunnel, as we did, there is a train service that intersects the Euro Star Rail line and delivers you to the core of Eastbourne.

Day one we visited the coast which is about 5 minutes from the house. That is Pat and my uncle Herbie.
 View from the park bench

Warning those strolling the park that they are approaching the cliff edge

The old historic lighthouse. Due to erosion of the limestone cliffs of the coast it was necessary to move the lighthouse back from the cliff edge and because of continued erosion it will have to be moved again.
