Driving the back roads at 77 years old
As I said the other day my uncle is an outstanding driver for a 25 year old race car driver never mind that he is 77. The roads of Great Britain are narrow and twisting in the countryside. Courtesy, skill and reflexes are essential when travelling these roads. Some are barely more than a lane wide and trees grow on the verge (shoulder), there are at some locations small pull over areas to allow oncoming vehicles to pass one another. At times there are stone walls that form a border along the side of the road and one must be very attentive when circumventing these roads. Locals will park on the road side and there is often barely room to pass further complicating driving.
