Seven years of ignoring the plight of Canada's veteran's Stephen Harper would like you to believe he cares

BULLSHIT

You may be dumb enough to believe his sudden compassion for our soldiers who are suffering from PTSD...... I am not.

For 7 years, yes Canada seven long years Stephen Harper ignored the cries for help from veterans. More than 160 of our brave warriors have died by their own hand and countless others suffer in silence because Stephen Harper puts the almighty dollar above human life.

During the past seven years Veteran Affairs failed to spend their budget and suddenly returned 1.1 billion dollars to the public coffers.

Out of the goodness of his heart of stone Stephen Harper has taken 200 million of that 1.1 Billion dollars and set a budget for mental health issues for the armed forces.

This all comes after years of complaints and public attacks on the lack of investment in the issue of PTSD. The veterans have threatened to campaign against the Reformist Conservatives in the Harper government and defeat them at the poles.

Ask yourself people, how does a government sit back and ignore human despair of those who gave their all for Canada simply to save a dollar.

Wounded soldiers told to sign form agreeing not to criticize military for their own good: senior officer

The military officer in charge of providing help for injured soldiers says they are being asked for their own good to sign a form governing what they can and can’t say in public.

In September, the Ottawa Citizen reported that the Canadian Forces were requiring physically and mentally wounded soldiers to sign a form agreeing they won’t criticize senior officers on social media outlets or discourage others in uniform with their comments on sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

But Col. Gerry Blais, director of casualty support management and the Joint Personnel Support Unit, told MPs at the Commons defence committee that the form was for the benefit of the wounded. “The form is there more for the protection of the individuals because unfortunately there are occasions where people, especially when they are suffering from mental health issues, will make comments or become involved in discussions that, later on in the full light of day, they would probably prefer that they had not been involved,” he explained Tuesday.
