Now is not the time for a protest vote

Many of you are disillusioned with the Liberals and Justin Trudeau for abandoning elector change but, if you read the above post in its entirety you will better understand why we still have FPTP.

That being said the country is in a very precarious position mostly due to a concerted and concentrated effort by those on the right to slander and lie about Justin Trudeau, none of which has any basis in fact.

Any vote in protest will likely give us a CPC government and many of us who experience the last CPC government are well aware of what the costs to the country, to the environment and to the working class is.

The CPC platform promises cuts, cuts that are intended to reduce the deficit but we were promised that under the previous conservative government but it never materialized, the rich got richer, the poor got poorer and the deficit grew. Just prior to the 2015 election the conservatives sold off the GM shares that Canada had received for bailing out GM. The conservatives sold the shares in order to pay down their deficit so they could brag, the problem, it was the wrong time the economy was still struggling and so was GM. The conservatives did not get real value for the share and it was classified as a fire sale, a desperation move on their part.

Now they have an American candidate with an American adviser who are both hard right tea party promoters who surround themselves with  media groups like the Rebel and The Sun as well as the Globe and Mail all of whom are pushing for cuts.

The NDP is a choice as is the Green Party, the problem with that is neither one has the potential of even forming a minority let alone a majority government. What most likely will happen is a Liberal or Conservative minority and that could be very troubling for creating a coalition to form a government. There are to many scenarios that could occur as did with deals being made in the past between the CPC, NDP and the Bloc. When that failed a coalition was formed between the NDP, LPC and the Bloc.... see where I am going here?

As it stands right now a majority or near majority for LPC would be the best scenario for the country and for the people.

All I can say is when you vote it may be best to hold your nose and place your X in the LPC box.
