Why is the Harper government turning their backs on Gabarus Cape Breton?

It is simple..... in typical Harper fashion they are punishing the people of Gabarus and surrounding area for not voting Conservative in the last election.

The village of Gabarus, on Nova Scotia's Cape Breton coast, is racing against time to rebuild a deteriorating seawall that protects the tiny 300-year-old community.

This is a government without a heart or a conscience. The money required to save this 300 year old village is a drop in the bucket compared to what they have wasted on their failed "Action Plan" or what they have spent on multiple studies on F-35 purchases or on Search and Rescue Aircraft.

I am really at a loss in understanding what Harper is trying to do to Canada with his neglect of infrastructure requirements, manipulation of Crown Corporations and the interference with our national police force.

We all knew in advance that he was a manipulative control freak but I don't think that even his most ardent opposition ever thought that he would be this vindictive and dictatorial. When one reads his bio one can see that he has not held a position for a long time and has shown discontent with others. This present job appears to be the only position that he has held for any length of time and to do that he has had to prorogue government twice to save his ass.

The biggest mistake an opposition MP can make is to stand in the House of Commons and bring up the urgent needs of his/her constituents, they can be sure the people will feel the wrath of Harper.
