I have been around for longer than I want to admit and have had more than a cursory experience with how manipulation of facts are presented as well as how one can use public opinion to your advantage (it's a bully tactic).... in the case of Mike Duffy the PMO has failed miserably.
The failure to act as well as the failure to address is confirmation, in my opinion, that the Prime Minister was fully aware and agreed to the payoff of Duffy's fraudulent expense cover up.
A fact of life is that no one coughs up 90,000 dollars to cover some ones fraudulent activities with the intent to protect another without the knowledge of that principal player (Stephen Harper) and without a guarantee of future reimbursement from the Conservative War Chest so they may avoid media and public scrutiny.
Canadians are disillusioned with Stephen Harper but so are those within his own party. Harper is a control freak and nothing happens without his knowledge and that has created dissention within the party.
We should not paint all Conservatives with the same tainted brush as that of Harper, the PMO and his cabinet however it is a committee of all parties that should be setting the ethical standards for the parties, the house and the senate and not the PMO.
Canadian voters have become immune to the Conservative attempts to deflect fault by attacking the opposition. Voters ignore the Conservative brainwashing techniques..... the biggest mistake the Conservatives are making is to underestimate Canadians and their penchant honest government.
Stephen Harper has forgotten his promise to the people of Canada that he would give them accountability and responsible government.
