Closing the barn door a year later

Minister Diane Finlay issued the following statement when her panties were caught in a wedgy over the RBC affair......

The purpose of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program is to fill acute labour needs when Canadians are not available for the work required. It was never intended as a means to bring in temporary foreign workers in order to replace already-employed Canadian workers. This is why we have launched a review of the program.

So why did you not do something about the problem in May of 2012? Why did you have to wait almost a year before acknowledging there was a problem? Why did Canadians have to be replaced by foreign workers while you failed to support your own citizens?

Thanks for doing nothing Minister Finlay.
