I think I have figured it out...
We are just too old....
In our day a politician would get elected to represent his constituents.
He/she did what his supporters wanted to a large extent while following a basic party philosophy.
Today the party philosophy is sacred and we the constituents must decide which one we want.
We the constituents must then adapt to him/her.
If that party has a few items in their "Red Book" or whatever they call it, that we don't like then too bad for us.
You vote for that party you get everything that party believes in.
All votes are on party lines.... screw the constituents.
The rules have changed.
It is like when the share holder became more important than the customer and business changed forever.
Everything and I mean everything is based on the almighty dollar.
Every time I am feeling down about something Harper has done I just think of Lucien Bouchard who's aim while in office was to destroy Canada.
The poor guy is now living in California with his American ( English ) wife with a pension based on his service to Canada.
I tell you the lunatics are in charge of the asylum.
Ralph.
Thanks Ralph..... I am having a hard time saying it but..... I agree
