Democracy and freedom of speech under attack by the Harper "Tea Party Conservatives"

Since starting the blog I have spoken out about the abuses of the Harper government. In doing so some friends have accused me of being pro Liberal or NDP no matter how often I tell them I am not a card carrying member of any party they appear to be stuck in a reverse.

The fact is, I want to take back my country, the one we were all proud to be citizens of, a country of peace and understanding, a country where we, the common people, were not under surveillance by our government.

Harper and his henchmen now control our Federal Police, the RCMP. They have silenced our armed forces. They are secretive and obstructive to the Canadian media. Now they are monitoring the social media for partisan purposes in an attempt to disrupt and confuse those who oppose their dictatorial governing style.

I've stated in the past that my blog is monitored and I have posted proof that various departments of the federal government visit the site including DND and the House of Commons. Since outing them by using my tracking program I have notice major discrepancies in the hit count. The blog itself has a hit counter and when I compare that counter with the tracking program there are major differences that are disturbing. To counter act the changes in the tracking program I added a more dynamic device to ensure the integrity of the count and the accumulation of data to monitor the visits.

There is no question that this government is paranoid and secretive, my goal is to hopefully inspire as many Canadians as possible to not only oust this corrupt group of dictators but to eliminate the "Tea Party Conservatives.

China, Canada vow to strengthen military cooperation

Ottawa: China's Defence Minister Chang Wanquan and his Canadian counterpart Robert Nicolson have pledged to deepen bilateral military communication and cooperation.

Chang on Thursday said military relations between China and Canada have maintained a sound momentum of development, as evidenced by frequent contacts between military leaders of the two sides, and their smooth and close coordination on global and regional issues, Xinhua reported.

BEIJING, June 3 (Xinhua) -- China and Canada signed an initiative on military cooperation as defense ministers of the two countries held talks in Beijing on Monday.

Chinese Defense Minister Chang Wanquan and his Canadian counterpart Peter G. Mackay had in-depth and candid talks on bilateral military relations, the international and regional security situations as well as other issues of common concern, according to a written statement.

The two sides held that China and Canada are important countries to the Asia-Pacific region and bear common responsibilities in safeguarding peace, stability and prosperity in the region, it said.

The two sides will work to push forward bilateral military relations. They will also continue to maintain high-level contacts, it noted, adding that Mackay has invited Chang to visit Canada this year.

DND pays $1M for submarine technology, now can’t find company

A European company that was paid $1 million to provide equipment for the Canadian navy’s submarines has taken the money and run.

The Department of National Defence has been trying since 2009 to get the equipment it paid for from Applied Radar and Sonar Technologies GmbH, a German firm.

But the company is no longer registered in Germany and “cannot be contacted,” according to a December 2012 briefing document for senior department staff.

Harper government pays to transfer cancelled climate program to Japan

OTTAWA — Even as it was cancelling a popular federal incentive program that helped Canadian households retrofit their homes and save on energy costs, the Harper government says on its climate change website that it spent $240,000 to “transfer” the program to Japan.

“The project consisted primarily of adapting and transferring the EcoEnergy Retrofit program that has been developed over the past two decades in Canada for use in Japan,” said the website,  summarizing the 2010-2011 Japan initiative among a list of climate change projects launched under a partnership of Asia-Pacific nations.

Consider this

Consider this.......

No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women

serve in the Canadian Military for up to 20 years, risking their lives & limbs,

protecting our freedom, and only get about 40% of their pay on Retirement.

While Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the

Nation's Capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full-pay on

Retirement .... after serving only two terms.

 

It just does not make any sense!!

If each person who receives this, will forward it on to 20 people, in 3 days,

most people in Canada , will have got the message ... including the likes of

PM Stephen Harper, Senators Mike Duffy & Pamela Wallin, as well as all those

other politicians who have NOT yet been caught "double dipping"!!

This is one message that really should be passed around.

I just passed it on ..... will you?

"If you choose not to pass it on, you still have made a choice,

and these brave Canadian Heroes have given you that right!"

The talking centipede

A lonely man walks into a pet store looking for an unusual pet, something
that is completely different than he has ever owned before, something that
would make a good companion.

After some discussion with the store owner, the  man buys a talking
centipede which came in a little white wooden box. The box was dotted
with plenty of small holes so that the centipede could breath.

The man arrives home a finds a good spot to place the box. He names
his new pet 'Ralph' and decides to start talking to him.

So he asks the centipede, " would you like to go to the pub with me today.
We will have a good time" His pet doesn't answer him. The man waits for
a minute thinking, maybe he didn't hear me.  The man asks again, " would
you like to go to the pub with me today"
Again, no answer from his new pet. The man is really worried now. He thinks
for a few minutes and decides to ask one more time.

This time the man puts his face right up to the box and shouts, "Hey in
there, would you like to go to the pub with me today"
This time the man hears a little voice coming from the box.

 

" Will you relax !  I heard you the first time!  I'm putting my
 damn shoes on"

Perils of a Catholic Upbringing

As I walked down the busy footpath, knowing I was late for Mass, my eye fell upon one of those unfortunate, homeless street people that are found in every city these days.

Some people turned to stare. Others quickly looked away as if the sight would somehow contaminate them.

Recalling my old parish priest, Father Halter, who always admonished me to 'care for the sick, feed the hungry and clothe the naked', I was moved by some powerful inner urge to reach out to this unfortunate person.

Wearing what can only be described as rags, carrying every worldly possession in two plastic bags, my heart was touched by this person's condition.

Yes, where some people saw only rags, I saw a true, hidden beauty.

A small voice inside my head called out, 'Reach out, reach out and touch this person!' 

So I did.......

I won't be at Mass this week.

"What?" said his Grandpa.

"Make a noise like a frog;

 because mom said as soon as you croak,,,,,,,,,

 

we're all going to Disney World!"
