U.S. shootings in the first week of 2017
Just six days into the New Year, there have been 315 incidents of gun violence across the United States in which someone was either killed or injured, according to to data compiled by Gun Violence Archive.
The below map shows reported shootings from Jan. 1 to Jan. 6, 2017.
The size of the dots reflect the number of people who were killed.
