Frederick John Knight
1944-2015
It is with great sadness the family of Fred Knight, loving husband of Brenda Knight, announces his passing which occurred on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Point-Saint-Charles, QC on December 20, 1944, he was a son of the late Elmer and Irene (Betts) Knight.
Fred took great pleasure in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a skilled woodworker and craftsman. He enjoyed spending time at his cottage with family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Fred will be missed by his children, Kevin Knight (Marilyn Laskey) and Karen McKinley (Randall); grandchildren, Katelyn and Allison Knight, Brady and Morgan McKinley; a brother, Russell Knight; a sister, Diane Moreau (Andy); as well as several relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; a brother-in-law, Bob Ingils and a sister-in-law, Marion Knight.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). As per Fred’s wishes, no visitation or funeral service will be held. A private family interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Canadian Diabetes Association (NB Chapter), the Canadian Cancer Society, or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
