My rant: Harper finally admits that the economy is a failure and stimulus is out of the question

As is customary Stephen Harper has contradicted his finance minister by announcing that the Greece crisis and low oil prices have slowed the Canadian economy, something he and Joe Oliver have been denying for weeks. Then he states stimulus is not an option.

What he fails to admit is that the austerity programs he implemented have left the Canadian bank coffers empty, as a result Canada has no safety net to weather a recession... other than pulling out his sword and slashing more services and benefits.... he would rather the people starve than admit taxes are essential to maintaining the status quo and good economic stewardship.

For the past 9 years we have listened to his preaching and chastising seniors for not adequately planning for their future yet Stephen Harper didn't plan for Canada's future. He cut taxes while draining Canada's reserves and surpluses in an attempt to convince his base that he and his ship of barking seals were economically prudent and meanwhile he claimed no other Party could accomplish what the Conservatives have.

And he is right. Neither Green, Red or Orange would have raped and pillaged the federal coffers by cutting services, social programs or stolen money from the EI account to pay down their 2008 deficit.

The Conservatives run multi million dollar partisan advertisements at the taxpayers expense, spend hundreds of millions on high priced lawyers defending laws that are not only flawed but unconstitutional.

Stephen Harper and the Conservative Party have abdicated their National responsibility to the people and catered to the oil and mining industry.

If this incompetent bastard is re-elected you can kiss your medicare goodbye, EI will be a source of more income and the cuts to service and transfer payments will be even deeper.

One of his election ad's presently running, even though and election has yet to be called, attributes the statement "budgets balance themselves" to an opposition leader and erroneously claims that as his being immature and incorrect.

Well Steve I have news for you

Budgets DO balance themselves. If revenues exceed expenditures budgets balance.

Budgets DO NOT balance themselves. If you indiscriminately cut revenues.

These lying, cheating bastards have used up the surplus they were left, the contingency fund and 1.3 billion dollars from the EI coffers to buy down their last deficit leaving the country without a backup plan.

The man who would be King of Alberta has strangled the Canadian economy and left the problem on the doorstep of the Provinces.

You know those multi million dollar ad's that they are running offering all those wonderful child care benefits.... you can kiss them goodbye as soon as the election writ drops.... and if you believe his election promise of keeping them you are the fool he is counting on to re-elect him.

The truth of the matter is that tax revenues are down not only because of oil prices but because of the lower quality of available jobs, because of his arbitrary tax cuts to corporations, because of his GST tax cut to buy your vote and because of the high unemployment.
