So we got weather bombed.... who cares

Certainly not our Federal government. We have sat back and watched as these freak storms have, for the past 5 or 6 years, reeked havoc on the Canadian landscape and our Federal government sits idly by.

On our street alone, a very short one I might add, I counted 9 homes with dumpsters in their drive. All, Pat and I included, back on to Appleby Creek. Never in the 27 years that we have lived here have we experienced such destruction. Fortunately we came out of this unscathed although our neighbors on each side were affected.

Sadly many of these homes will not be covered by insurance while others are uninsured... why? because of the cost and the fact that no one thought this could happen here.

The beige dumpsters line the street and homeowners are obliged to park illegally on the road.... will the psychotic by-law officer give them a break????
