Accept it people, he was born in Canada which gives him all the privileges of being Canadian, like it or not. When an immigrant to Canada becomes a Canadian citizen and commits a serious crime you scream "Send him Home" , well folks the US sent Omar Khadr home. The fact that the Conservatives delayed bringing him home only exasperated the situation and delayed any chance of rehabilitation.
I do not condone his radical beliefs nor do I trust him after his being incarcerated with other extremists for 10 years, but one thing you can be sure of is, that once he is released from prison he will be on CSIS radar for the rest of his life.
Now lets look at some facts;
- he was a child of 15.... in Canada we remove children from the home of White Supremacists for their protection.
- he was seriously injured in the firefight
- the American Commanding Officer attributed the killing to someone other than Khadr.
The report further stated that no one witnessed Khadr throw the grenade.
- Khadr professed his innocence for years and was prepared to go to trial until they wore him down and presented him with an offer that would send him back to Canada.
It is hard for law abiding citizens not to be suspicious and fearful of the likes of Omar Khadr, White Supremacists or the various Militia's in the US and what their intentions are but, they are there just like biker gangs and the KKK... we must learn to live with the threat and to be observant and cautious without being paranoid.

"I don't in any way want to minimize what the experience was like in Guantanamo, but, ironically enough, he has less freedom now," Norris said.
"It's going to be very difficult to be locked in a small cell for 23 hours a day and then you get one hour to walk around in the small exercise yard," Norris said.

One can only surmise that Vic Toews remarks about Omar Khadr were meant to instill fear and hatred in the Canadian people. The remarks will have an affect on Khadr's ability to function in the free world ..... it was pure hate mongering by a Minister in the Federal Government.
The PMO is considering appointing Vic Toews as a judge .... be scared people .... Vic Toews believes he is Judge, Jury and Executioner.
