Harper? Trying to control the South Africa media? More Fascist bullshit from the PM

Prime Minister’s staffers attempt to control media in South Africa and it doesn’t really work


Prime Minister Stephen Harper's plane landed in South Africa Monday ahead of the memorial service for Nelson Mandela. Along with Harper, the plane was chock-full of Canadian dignitaries, including former prime ministers Brian Mulroney, Jean Chretien and Kim Campbell; Opposition leader Tom Mulcair, Quebec MP Irwin Cotler, National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations Shawn Atleo and Alberta Premier Alison Redford.

The leaders from across the country—and across political the political spectrum—getting off the plane together was the perfect photo op. But as Canadian government staffers learned, the South African media weren't about to be managed.
