His, and the Conservative Parties, abuses of the democratic rights are unprecedented in Canadian history. From election fraud to Senate Scandals, from failed "Action Plans" to outrageous lawyer fees to fight lost causes and the elimination of environmental protection to immigration abuses are all failures that point to the results of stacking the "House of second sober thought", the Senate.
Under Harpers reign of destruction we have seen the will of the people ignored and their democratic rights erode. We are experiencing Fascism at its worst.
What Harper has shown Canadians in the past two years is an example of what would happen if the Senate were abolished and a government had a majority. By stacking the Upper House with party hacks who do nothing but rubber stamp bills and tour the country on the taxpayers dime promoting their party agenda.
With this absolute power the country has seen the government exercise control over the national police force whereby the Commissioner must have permission from the government before talking to outsiders. Access to information is delayed or restricted and the various federal departments are headed up by party hacks who have been donating to the party war chest.

Be Afraid Canada..... Be Very Afraid
If the Senate is to be changed it must be done so that the Provinces are fairly represented by people who are actually from their respective Province. They should not be elected or we will eventually see, here in Canada, what is happening south of the border.... abolishment is not the answer
Any change to the Senate selection process must exclude the Prime Minister from the equation to ensure some measure of neutrality in the Upper House.
