Electric Scooter Startup Evolve Launching with Three Models
New York-based Evolve Motorcycles is set to launch with an initial product lineup of three electric scooter models.
Founded by Benjamin Plum, Mazdack Rassi and Lex Kendall, Evolve will premiere its new Titanium, Neon and Helium electric scooters and preview two future design concepts at a launch event Oct. 6 in New York City.
All three models are backed with a one-year warranty, 24/7 roadside assistance and the Evolve social networking app to connect with other riders. Each model comes ready for Garmin GPS connectivity while the Neon and Helium are equipped with smartphone charge points. Evolve claims a charge time of 2.5 hours for each model.
Evolve’s biggest selling point may be its pricing plan with MSRPs ranging from $2900 to $5400 not including a 10% federal tax rebate for electric vehicles.
The Evolve Titanium, pictured above, is equipped with a 5000W motor powered by a 60ah LiFEPO4 battery. Evolve claims a top speed of 70 mph and a range of 60 miles on a full charge from the Titanium. Evolve will also offer an upgraded Titanium XR version which claims a range of 100 miles.The Evolve Titanium will be available for $5400. No price has been released for the XR.
The smallest model in the line-up, the Evolve Helium is powered by a 1500w motor with a 40ah LiFePO4 battery. Evolve claims a top speed of 40mph and a range of 40 miles on a full charge. The Helium XR claims a range of 80 miles. The Evolve Helium is priced at $2900.
