Might the above photo be of Margaret Jean Rogers, my grandmother?? I have photos of her and some friends in Cobalt in 1909 and 1910. Her maiden name was Quibell.
Thankyou very much. I enjoyed reading about your great grandfather. I am intrigued by the few photos that I have of my grandmother in Cobalt. They are all dated 1909-10. All the girls and gentlemen are dressed 'to the nines' in stark contrast to their rugged surroundings.
I think what amazed me most was the fact that they had an Opera House. As you say both the men and women dressed in their finest even when out for a boat ride.

The name inscribed on the photo by my great grandfather is indeed Mrs. Rogers so could well be your grandmother
