Harper is concealing environmental issues on the tar sands bi-product

There is more to the issue of tar sands pollution that is being kept from Canadians and the American public. What happens to the bi-product known as petroleum coke or PetCoke?

The waste product which is banned to burn in the USA and in Canada is shipped to China and burned as fuel. What does that mean to North America? We already know that the prevailing winds carry pollution from Asia to North America as does the oceans so what we ban in North America has an affect on us anyway.

The ignorance of the Conservatives regarding health effects and the spiraling cost of Medicare by the abolishing of environmental standards is very troubling. We are an aging society and the various cities and provinces post air quality warning for the aged and those with lung and breathing problems.....

My question to Stephen Harper is.... Why? .... Why do we post warnings if we don't have an air quality problem? Why are lung problems on the rise?
