Months ago there was word that Donald Trump may make an official state visit to the UK (after a customary invite from Prime Minister Theresa May and the Queen). Due to protests that visit has been put off time and again. Now it looks more unlikely that it will happen anytime soon. Today the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan tweeted this statement:
"President Trump has used Twitter to promote a vile, extremist group that exists solely to sow division and hatred in our country. It's increasingly clear that any official visit from President Trump to Britain would not be welcomed."
