Ambrose took holiday on billionaire's yacht
As Conservatives attacked Trudeau for trip to Aga Khan’s island, leader was on similar vacation
Rona Ambrose was vacationing in the Caribbean on a billionaire’s yacht while her colleagues back in Canada were attacking Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for his holiday trip to the Aga Khan’s private Caribbean island, iPolitics has learned.
Ambrose and her partner, businessman J.P. Veitch, spent Jan. 3-14 on the yacht of energy mogul and Calgary Flames co-owner Murray Edwards in the azure waters around the islands of St. Barths and Saint Martin, part of the Leeward Islands chain.
Ambrose’s director of communications, Mike Storeshaw, said in an email Friday that unlike the prime minister, Ms. Ambrose’s trip didn’t break any rules.
