Sunday's Vehicle

Vehicle Description
The Chrysler 300 letter series were high-performance luxury cars built in very limited numbers by the Chrysler Corporation in the U.S. from 1955-1965. Each years model used a new letter of the alphabet as a suffix (skipping I) reaching 300L by 1965 after which the model was dropped. The 300 letter series cars were among the vehicles that focused on performance built by domestic U.S. manufacturers after World War II and thus can be considered one of the muscle cars ancestors though much more expensive and exclusive. The 1957 300C is generally considered the classic year of the 300 letter series. New styling was brought in with a yawning wide front grille and fins; the Hemi engine was upgraded to 392 cu in with 375 hp or as a very limited edition 390 hp version (18 built). A convertible model was also available for the first time. The car had a number of red white and blue 300C medallions on the sides hood trunk and interior. 1767 coupes and 484 convertibles were built. This particular 1957 Chrysler 300 C was purchased from the same owner who purchased it in July of 1977 in California where it has been since! The owner exercised the vehicle monthly to insure all mechanical aspects stayed in working condition. The vehicle is said to be original except for one repaint. The vehicle has been refinished in Cloud White and done to professional standards. The chrome is original and is in excellent condition with no pitting that we have seen. The leather Buckskin interior is said to be original with no rips or tears. The same goes for the dash door panels and headliner. The carpet appears to be replaced with the proper Chrysler OEM material. It is also equipped with power windows. Under the hood boasts the desired 392 Hemi with Dual Quads making 375 HP. These are great motors when tuned perfectly as this one is. With it being attached to the push button automatic transmission the car is a joy to drive. With only 42800 pampered miles the car is nearly as nice as it was when new. It comes equipped with power steering and power brakes. Inside the trunk the vehicle still retains all the original side cardboard lining as well as the original matting which is in excellent condition. Bid with confidence seldom does an original Chrysler 300 C in this investment grade condition become available to the public. The VIN number is 3N571071 and the car is being sold on a clean California title.
