Thank You Kevin Page - Canada's first Parliamentary Budget Officer retires

Well sort of. Actually Kevin Pages contract was not renewed by a Conservative government who does not want taxpayers aware of what they are cutting or wasting from publicly funded federal departments.

Kevin Page is the last true Canadian that will occupy the PBO, a man who held the Harper government accountable on such critical topics as the F-35 and the Flaherty budget ineptness as well as the deficit.

In a disgusting show of disdain for Kevin Pages honesty and diligence in performing his job for the taxpayer, the Conservatives did not acknowledge or congratulate the best person, albeit the first, to occupy the office of the PBO.

Rest assured my fellow Canadians the next PBO will be a Conservative lap dog with no backbone and no desire to do his/her job with diligence and honesty.
