I always wanted to see how the heck a radial engine crankshaft and connecting rods were laid out.

This is an excellent animated demonstration of the valves, cams and crankshaft.

While at cousin Arlenes place in Dixon, her husband Taylor showed me his complete shop manual for a Pratt Whitney 4 bank radial used in the B29's.

What complicated monster s they made.

And we commented how not ONE computer was needed.
