Canadian Bar Association Presidents
Harper’s disrespect for the Supreme Court harms the workings of government
This statement is made by eleven former presidents of the Canadian Bar Association: L. Yves Fortier of Montreal; Thomas G. Heintzman of Toronto; Simon V. Potter of Montreal; Susan McGrath of Iroquois Falls; D. Kevin Carroll of Barrie; Bernard Amyot of Montreal; Paul Fraser of Victoria; Daphne Dumont of Charlottetown; Guy Joubert of Winnipeg; Rod Snow of Whitehorse; and William Johnson of Regina.
In my opinion....
It is becoming more and more evident that Stephen Harper has mental issues. His obsession with celebrating all things war related while abusing our veterans is a good example. He has taken his position of Prime Minister and, as he sees himself, "Commander in Chief" to extreme.
Now this pointless and embarrassing argument that he and MacKay have started with the "Chief Justice" is a good indication of their ignorance and inability to govern. Their collective intelligence is the equivalent to that of the back end of a horse.
If ever there was a Prime Minister that exhibited "an air of entitlement Stephen Harper is the poster boy.
Perhaps it is time to set term limits for our Prime Minister rather than the senate. In my short 70 years I have witnessed several Prime Ministers who seem to suffer from the "air of entitlement" illness that is afflicting Stephen Harper. Now combine Stephen Harpers other obsessions and inability to control his anger with his love of war machines, battles, prisons and his refusal to work with others we have a very volatile situation in the HoC.
Term limits would mean someone who is a bipolar sociopathic fool would automatically step down.
