More waste from the Harper Regime

Already having a majority in the Senate, Stephen Harper felt it necessary to appoint five more leaches of taxpayer dollars to the Upper House. Why? Patronage is the only possible reason since it was not necessary to push through his political agenda.

Stephen Harper would like to reform the Senate making it an elected Senate while limiting terms to 8 years. He also says that he does not want to revisit the constitution, which he will have to do to reform the Senate, that will open the door for the PQuists to argue for separation.

Not only is revisiting the constitution a bad idea his reform plans will increase the number of leaches collecting your and my tax dollar. With an 8 year term limit it is statistically possible to have 2 or more leaches receiving tax dollars for each Senate seat. Yes fellow taxpayer each seat will have at least one sitting Senator and one ex-Senator collecting a pension while some may even have two pentioners collecting taxpayer dollars while another is sitting.

Don't believe me.... think about it folks ..... any seat occupied by a Senator of 40 to 60 years will have been replaced and on pension while there is someone sitting in their seat. Those whose seats were occupied by someone in their forties could well have a second pensioner as well as a sitting Senator ...... Thanks for your conservatism Stevie boy.

Harper has just filled 5 seats that may have been vacated by those who are still collecting our tax dollars.... how does he justify that when he already had stacked the Senate.

Really people how is this being conservative????
