Leafs VS Canadians

Once upon a time long, long, ago there was a season when neither the Leafs nor the Canadians made the post season playoffs. It seemed so unusual, that the management of both teams got together and decided that there should be some sort of competition between the two teams because of their great rivalry. So, they decided on a week long ice fishing competition. The team that catches the most fish at the end of the week wins.

So on a cold northern Ontario lake they began their contest.

The first day after 8 hours of fishing the Canadians had caught 100 fish and the Leafs had 0.


At the end of the 2nd day the Canadians had caught 200 fish and the Leafs 0.

That evening the Leafs coach got his team together and said, "I suspect some kind of cheating is taking place", So the next morning he dressed one of his players in Canadian colors and sent him over to their camp to act as a spy.

At the end of the day he came back to report to the coach. The coach asked "Well, how about it, are they cheating?"

"They sure are," the player reported, "They're cutting holes in the ice".

Almost every family in the Gaspe & Northern New Brunswick area was affected, when

The North Shore Rifels & Winnipeg Grenadires were shipped to Hong Kong in 1941,

Most died there, and the others were prisoners of war for 4.5 years,, the Japs were not

Nice to their prisoners,,, and many starved to death !

The Little Oak Bay United Church , in Oak Bay, Qc. Aboout 100 years old.. It as located about 400 ft from my Old Family homestead... About 15 years ago ,, the Legion members in

The New Richmond area, And The Hong Kong Veterans organization,, bought the church,, took

the roof off,,cutting It in two,,, loaded it on two floats,, and moved it 45 miles to

Cascapedia / New Richmond, located it on a new basement, redoing a lot of the wood, and

Then painting it.

It's located in a collection of Old Antique Buildings from the area,, that is called BRITVILLE.

It's a great area to visit on Vacation !! Cheers !!

After 80 years the bridge that connects St-François du Lac where we live and Pierreville on the 132 is being replaced. The town had a fire works display commerating it's final days.

as of NOW -- seniors out number ANY OTHER type of voter even by race - religion - or age --- WHEN ARE SENIORS gonna wake up and understand WE have the power to shape legislation all WE need is the will power to do so- PLEASE SEND THIS BACK AROUND TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS -- MAYBE THEN THE "GREY REVOLUTION" will begin --- MAYBE !! POLITICIANS PLEASE PAY ATTENTION? FORWARDING THIS TO EVERYBODY !!! 'Entitlement' my ass, I paid cash for my Old Age Security and CPP!!!! Just because they borrowed the money, doesn't make my benefits some kind of charity or handout !! Gold plated MP pensions and Civil Service Government benefits, aka free healthcare, outrageous retirement packages, sixty-seven paid holidays, twenty weeks paid vacation, unlimited paid sick days, now that's welfare, and they have the nerve to call me a 'greedy senior' and my retirement, an 'entitlement' !!!!!!.....scroll down................ What the HELL's wrong with us??? WAKE UP CANADA !!!! Someone please tell me what the HELL's wrong with all the people that run this country!!!!!! We're "broke" and can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless etc.,??????????? but spent 1.2 billions of dollars for G-20 events! In the last few months we have provided aid to Haiti , Chile , and Turkey . And now Khanistan , Pakistan ...... home of bin Laden. Literally, BILLIONS of ourDOLLARS!!! Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do they get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour Hundreds of Billions of $$$$$$'s and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries! They call Old Age Security and Healthcare an entitlement even though most of us have been paying for it all our working livesand now when it's time for us to collect, the government is running out of money. Why did the government borrow from it in the first place? We have hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans. CANADA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed hungry, hospitals being closed, average income families who can't afford dental care, elderly going without 'needed' meds and having to travel hundreds of miles for medical care with no reimbursement of cost, vehicles we can't afford gas for, lack of affordable housing, and mentally ill without treatment - etc., etc. YET.....They have a 'Benefit' for the people of Haiti, ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents, clothes, bedding, doctors, and medical supplies. Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave 'US' the same support they give to other countries.Sad isn't it? 99% of people won't have the guts to forward this. I'm one of the 1% -- I Just Did.   Thanks Wayne .... this Conservative government is hoping we all die off soon. I'm surprised they haven't legislated mercy killing for the over 67 crowd
