Thanks Ivan.... I did an Infrared roof survey on a highrise in this area.... IR survey's are done after sunset ... the superintendent locked us on the roof, when I asked why he was locking the door he told me that the tenants were so bad that they might throw me off the roof.

Gas Station Loses Roof

Heavy wind in Renaca, Chile, caused this gas station to shut down for the next couple of months by ripping its roof off.

Canada accused of 'complicity' in torture in UN report

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/canada-accused-complicity-torture-un-report-223907740.html

Really, Canada complicit in torture? How can that be, when our government redacted documents to conceal their complicity then were the first governing body in Canadian history to be found in contempt of parliament for refusing to allow the opposition access to the information ..... where's the proof EH.

Now we know why we were not elected to the UN Security Council. It certainly raises the spectre that Canada, or at least the Conservative Party, cannot be trusted.

If it were simply Afghans who fell victim to Canadian complicity we could plead ignorance as the Conservatives attempted to do by using the cover of security within transmittal's to redact proof however we inflicted torture, based on false information, on people we granted citizenship to.

As a foreigner would you really want to become a Canadian under this regime?

There is a pattern here that leaves a bad taste in ones mouth but rest assured that the government will ignore this report and try to cast a slanderous shadow over its authors and the UN.

It appears that the UN and much of the World sees us in a different light than we see ourselves.

The party of restraint shows no restraint

There's an Oda in Ottawa

INTERNATIONAL PICTURE OF THE YEAR 3

First PlaceTodd Heisler, The Rocky Mountain News

When 2nd Lt. James Cathey's body arrived at the Reno
Airport , Marines climbed into the cargo hold of the plane
and draped the flag over his casket as passengers watched
the family gather on the tarmac.
During the arrival of another Marine's casket last year at
Denver International Airport , Major Steve Beck described
the scene as so powerful: 'See the people in the windows?
They sat right there in the plane, watching those Marines.
You gotta wonder what's going through their minds, knowing
that they're on the plane that brought him home,' he said.
'They will remember being on that plane for the rest of their
lives. They're going to remember bringing that Marine home.
And they should.'

Second Place
Todd Heisler, The Rocky Mountain News

The night before the burial of her husband's body, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time. The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of 'Cat,' and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept. 'I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it,' she said. 'I think that's what he would have wanted'.

SUNBURN TREATMENT

Bet you never thought of this.. New Treatment For Sunburn -

A guy visiting in Hawaii fell asleep on the beach for several hours and got a horrible sunburn,

specifically to his upper legs. He went to the hospital, and was promptly admitted after being diagnosed with second-degree burns.

With his skin already starting to blister, and the severe pain he was in,the doctor prescribed continuous intravenous feeding with saline, electrolytes, a sedative, and a Viagra pill every four hours.

The nurse, who was rather astounded, asked, 'What good will Viagra do for him, Doctor’?

The doctor replied, 'It won't do anything for his condition, but it’ll keep the sheets off his legs.'
