Conservatives buy American Plan

London North Centre MP Susan Truppe was quoted in the London Free Press as saying the government "had to do what is right for Canadian taxpayers and the military - we have to keep them safe." I fail to understand how sending $1.25 billion dollars of public funds to the United States in defence contracts can be classified as "doing what is right for Canadian taxpayers."

Yes Canada your Conservative government thinks that it is more prudent to award a 1.25 billion dollar military contract to the US rather than to a Canadian firm in London Ontario.... and you wonder why the manufacturing sector is hurting...... this will be the second major hit that London takes in the building of military vehicles since the Conservatives took office .... where is the benefit???

Technologically we are as good or better than the Americans and according to the Conservatives we don't buy bogus Chinese components for our military but.... we will buy military vehicles and aircraft from those who do buy counterfeit components.
