YES!
Should he win the nomination?
HELL NO
Don't get me wrong this is not an anti Rae question. I like Bob but the people of Ontario have a bad taste in their voting minds for him. The big question is, was Bob's tenure as Premier of Ontario as bad as people would like to believe. The answer is NO.
At the time that he became Premier we were coming off the reign of Peterson and entering into one of North Americas greatest depressions. The economy was, in my opinion, in worse condition than it is today. I testified to that fact in the Queens Court and won.
On the other hand the Liberals, after the last survey, are a mere 9 points behind the NDP and the Conservatives, and that is without a full time leader. What does that tell us? In my humble opinion it tells me that if the Liberals nominate a candidate with charisma they will garner points from both parties. What does this mean? Well I can see another minority government after the next election. Is that bad? NO. We have seen how giving the Conservatives a majority will destroy everything that Canadians believe in.... well at least 60% of Canadians......
Question is does the country need two "corporatist" parties funded by the same banksters and other members of the 1% oligarchy.
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that the government in waiting is the official opposition.
I recall how during Harper's five year minority
government the Liberals voted with him or ducked votes to ensure we would not have an election. They were then a defacto coalition and I sense that they are prepared to do that again.
Thanks anonymous... while I agree with you on the Liberals being a defacto coalition I feel they did not have much choice since another election at that time would have further angered Canadians.... they were damned no matter what they did.
DeleteWith Mulcair and the NDP moving closer to centre I can see the potential of a merger with the Liberals becoming a reality and/or an agreement of support similar to what has happened in Great Britain. First of all a merger would reduce the vote splitting that happened in the past.

With Great Britain as an example the Conservative scare tactics of a coalition would fall on deaf ears. It seems that the Canadian voter forgets that the Conservatives themselves are a coalition of many.
